Which brigades are participating in the “Drone Line” project?

The “Drone Line” project was launched on March 3 at the initiative of the President of Ukraine to develop unmanned systems and provide infantry with air cover. As IZ reports with reference to the Ministry of Defense, the ministry has allocated 4.6 billion hryvnias for the purchase of drones, electronic warfare equipment and transport for specialized units. The following brigades are participating in the project: Rarog, K-2, Phoenix, Achilles and Ptahy Malyara.

This project involves the creation of a “killzone” at a distance of 10–15 km to complicate the enemy’s advance and reduce losses among the Ukrainian military. The drones will provide infantry with air support and protection in combat conditions. Funding for the project will allow scaling up the combat experience of the units and providing them with the necessary equipment and specialists to perform combat missions.

The main goal of the “Drone Line” is to develop unmanned systems units that will receive modern equipment and support. The project should increase the effectiveness of infantry and create conditions for high-quality aviation support. The Ministry of Defense plans to continue investing in the development of unmanned technologies to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities.

Recall, we previously wrote that Zelensky replaced the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
