Ukrainian servicemen have been given the opportunity to make a priority reservation for an online wedding ceremony through the “Diya” application. Defenders of Ukraine can now choose a convenient date and time for their wedding without queues and unnecessary formalities, writes IZ.
The “Marriage Online” service has become available to military personnel in the “Army+” section of the application. To use the service, you must enter the appropriate section, click “ Marriage Online — Apply via Diya ”, after which the system will automatically redirect you to the appropriate page in Diya to book a date.
The procedure is as simplified as possible, and the ceremony itself takes place online, allowing couples to unite their hearts even from a distance. This is extremely important for those serving on the front lines and cannot physically be with their loved ones.
As the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov noted: “ People who defend the country are unable to get married in the DRACS, because they are separated by hundreds of kilometers from their loved ones. For military personnel, online marriage is the most convenient opportunity to create a family without bureaucracy, paperwork, and wasted time .”
The new service is implemented as part of the Army+ digital initiative to simplify access to basic life services for those serving in wartime. Ukraine continues to digitize important areas of life, including family ones.
