Deputy Minister of Defense: repeat medical examination for those with limited eligibility will begin in mid-May

The Ministry of Defense made 23 million requests to update citizens' data, and has now digitized data on men of military age who can be included in mobilization.

<p>Repeated medical examination for those of limited fitness valid will begin in mid-May.</p>
<p>This was announced by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Ivan Gavrilyuk at a meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, according to the congress website.</p>
<p>“Currently, changes to 402 orders are being agreed upon. And from mid-May, a review will begin to confirm the suitability for service of those people,” Gavrilyuk said.</p>
<p>He noted that the Ministry of Defense has relaunched the Obereg electronic system, which provides digital tracking data at all stages of the mobilization campaign for each individual subject. This system is integrated with the State Tax Service, the Ministry of Justice, the State Border Service, the Ministry of Education, the State Migration Service and the Judicial Administration >.In particular, they made 23 million requests to update citizens' data, and have now digitized data on men of military age who can be included in mobilization in all 24 regions of Ukraine and Kyiv.</p>
<p>“Most regions have successfully established the process entering data on the status of passing the VLK commissions. However, in order to ensure even greater efficiency and transparency, we plan to increase the capacity of the teams working in the TCC and SP and digitalize the entire process of the mobilization campaign for each citizen,” added the Deputy Minister of Defense. </p>

<li>This month, Vladimir Zelensky signed Law No. 10313, abolishing the conclusion of military medical commissions of “limited fitness.”</li>
<li>The Law “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine to Ensure the Rights of Military Personnel and Police Officers to social protection” will come into force on May 5.</li>
<li>Citizens recognized as “limitedly fit” must re-pass the VLK within nine months – that is, until February 4, 2025.</li>
