During the curfew in Goloseev, law enforcement officers stopped the car. As it turned out, the driver was drunk, and he stole the car from the car wash where he worked.

This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv police.

Investigators informed the man of suspicion of illegal seizure of a vehicle.

As the head of the territorial police department Arayik Kochkadamyan said, two friends were abusing alcoholic beverages near their place of work – a car wash. One offered to take a client's car, which had been left at the car wash for several days. He found the keys and, together with an acquaintance, went for a ride during curfew until they were stopped by patrol officers.

An investigative team was sent to the scene of the incident, which detained the driver in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The driver was checked for alcohol intoxication – the Drager device showed 1.45 ppm.

Patrol police also drew up a report against the detainee under Part 1 of Art. 130 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses – driving while intoxicated.

The stolen car was seized and returned to the owner.

“In agreement with the Goloseevsky District Prosecutor's Office of the city of Kiev, we informed the man of suspicion of Part 3 of Article 289 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – illegal seizure of a vehicle. The suspect faces up to 12 years in prison,” added the police colonel. Accident with two dead and tried to evade the police.
