The SBU and NABU exposed corrupt officials in the Zaporozhye region
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) reported suspicions to the deputy chairman of the Zaporozhye regional assistant and a deputy of this regional council of providing unlawful benefits to an official of a municipal medical institution.
This is stated in a message from the NABU press service.
“As the investigation established, during 2023-2024 the suspects repeatedly provided one of the directors of the regional hospital with funds , so that he would contribute to the victory of pre-determined companies in tenders announced by medical institutions, as well as by opening an account for medical institutions in a certain bank and placing funds on it,” the Bureau noted.
Qualification of the actions of the suspects:
- Deputy Chairman of the Zaporozhye Regional Council – Part 3 of Art. 27, part 4 art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine;
- his assistant – part 5 of Art. 27, part 4 art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine;
- deputy of the regional council – part 4 of art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
On February 19, officials were exposed “in the hot” immediately after they provided the next part of the illegal benefit. The total amount of unlawful benefit is more than 650 thousand UAH.
