<p>In 2023, every sixth punishment for “discrediting the Russian army” in Russia and on occupied Ukrainian territories occurred in Crimea.</p>

Tasheva also said that in In Russian courts last year, the number of cases under Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation decreased by 47% compared to 2022. “In occupied Crimea, over the same period, the number of cases, on the contrary, increased by 70.6%. The resistance of Crimeans is growing and the occupiers cannot overcome it, unlike the regions of Russia, where there is a rapid decline in any resistance to the war,” the permanent representative of the President emphasized.

According to her, in 2022, the number of those punished in “Crimean cases” of “discredit” amounted to 4.6% of the total. In 2023, the figure increased to 15.5%.
