The husband tracked Ukrainian aviation and anti-aircraft missile systems. The occupiers paid him in cryptocurrency for this.
The traitor was watching the airfield. The real prison sentence was given to a Russian agent, a laborer from Kropyvnytskyi, whom the hostile secret service recruited at the beginning of last year. The traitor was preparing a series of Russian air attacks in the Kirovograd region. In particular, on the instructions of the FSB, he was supposed to adjust missile attacks on the airfields of the Defense Forces.
This is stated in reports from the SBU and the Office of the Prosecutor General.
The traitor came to the attention of the Russian intelligence service because of his anti-Ukrainian messages in pro-Kremlin Telegram channels. After recruitment, he was in direct contact with a personnel officer of the 5th FSB service from Crimea. To communicate with each other, they used an anonymous chat in the messenger, and the traitor began each “correspondence” session with a code word.
For the work done, he was paid in cryptocurrency.
The attacker bypassed the perimeters of aviation facilities infrastructure, where he tried to detect combat aircraft of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He also drew attention to the possible presence of air defense anti-aircraft missile systems nearby.
The agent must pass on the information received to his Russian supervisor to adjust enemy fire to “bypass” the Ukrainian air defense.
The security service detained the attacker in early summer 2023, when he was conducting reconnaissance near a strategic facility.
According to SBU materials, the court sentenced him to 15 years in prison. The man was found guilty of high treason committed under martial law.
- Counterintelligence of the Security Service detained another FSB informant who was correcting missile and drone strikes on Donbass. He turned out to be a military man – a contract soldier of one of the combat brigades of the Defense Forces, stationed in the eastern region.
- In Chernigov, the Security Service detained a Russian agent who was preparing a missile attack on the railway line connecting the northern and eastern regions of Ukraine. Another potential target of the enemy was platforms for cargo servicing of mobile warehouses.
- And a kindergarten worker was exposed in adjusting missile attacks on Kharkov. The woman is suspected of transmitting to the Russians data about the locations of the Defense Forces, indicating coordinates on Google maps.
