The package of more than $60 billion was supported by the majority of congressmen in the US House of Representatives: 310 congressmen were in favor, 112 votes were cast against.

Now the issue must be considered by the Senate.

Congressional vote for assistance to Ukraine

  • On April 17, Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson published the text of the funding bill assistance to Ukraine.
  • The text of the document is generally similar to the one that the Senate approved in February and meets the requirements of US President Joe Biden.
  • In particular, the document provides for the allocation of $60 billion to Ukraine, including $23 billion for replenishment of US arsenals, which can be used for military assistance to Ukraine.
