Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem conducts unscheduled inspections of military registration and enlistment offices and warehouses with food in military units.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov announced this on his Facebook page, summing up the events of the last week concerning his department.
“The Ministry team continues unscheduled inspections of warehouses with food in military units. We discovered a non-supply of food worth more than UAH 50 million. We record violations and look into each case separately. Based on the results of a previous trip last week, the Ministry of Defense changed the supplier to some military units,” the Message says.
During unscheduled inspections of TCC and SP in the regions, many violations are recorded. “The Ministry of Defense team is working to systematically correct all shortcomings,” the minister added.
Umerov recalled that 1.5 billion UAH, included in the corruption scheme for the acquisition of artillery shells for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, were returned to the state budget.< /p>
In addition, for UAH 1.5 billion, the Ministry of Defense won the trial in the case of Lviv Arsenal LLC for failure to supply paid mines.
Another case – suspicions against former and current officials of the department and their accomplices, who, according to investigators, took possession almost 1.5 billion hryvnia to the Ministry of Defense for the purchase of mortar rounds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Thanks to the SBU, DBR and GPU for their well-coordinated cooperation and professional work. We continue further, there will be more news,” the minister announced.
