On February 24, on the second anniversary of the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Irpin City Council signed a Memorandum with the Czech company AKM Group Cz and the public organization “Veteran Family” about their intentions to create a Veterans Support Center “Veteran Hub Irpen” in the Irpin community to provide support to combatants, veterans of the war with Russia, as well as to strengthen the defense capability of Ukraine.

The memorandum on the creation of “Veteran Hub Irpen” was signed by Irpen mayor Alexander Markushin, CEO of the Czech company AKM Group Cz Vladimir Klepetko and head of the public organization “Veteran Family” Boris Balmasov.
According to the CEO of the Czech company AKM Group Cz, Vladimir Klepetko, the company plans to find opportunities to help create Ukraine’s first modern veterans’ hub for the work of veterans’ organizations, social adaptation of veterans, psychological rehabilitation and assistance, legal advice for military personnel and members of their families.

According to Anton Golovenko, deputy of the Irpin City Council, the main tasks of “Veteran Habu Irpen” will be the creation of a platform for interaction between veterans and local authorities, the socialization of war veterans through informal communication, assistance in starting their own business, investment and business consultations, individual and group psychological assistance , legal advice and support for the veteran in all instances.

The Veteran Family NGO was founded in October 2015, united the majority of ATO participants from the Irpin society and until 2024 years worked under the name of the public organization “Irpen City Union of ATO Veterans and Disabled Persons.” During the work of the organization, 52 apartments and more than 350 land plots were provided to ATO veterans, business training was provided and grants were provided to veterans for their own businesses. The organization also implemented a training program for veterans, where military personnel receive higher education and a new profession.
