The Macrons will present evidence in a U.S. court against Candace Owens, who spread false claims about Brigitte Macron.

French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte plan to present photographic and scientific evidence in a U.S. court proving that the First Lady of France is a woman, reports Baltimore Chronicle with a reference to BBC.

According to the couple’s lawyer, Tom Clare, these materials will be part of a defamation lawsuit against far-right activist Candace Owens, who has spread claims that Brigitte Macron was born male.

Clare noted that the legal proceedings significantly distract the president from his official duties and affect not only his political activities but also his personal life.

In 2024, Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron already won a defamation case in a Paris court, where the defendants had made similar claims. However, in 2025, an appellate court accepted a review of the case based on freedom of speech. The Macrons are now awaiting the outcome of the counter-appeal.
