Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that U.S. President Donald Trump now trusts him more after realizing that the information from Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin was false, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to Zelensky’s press conference.
“This was a very productive, constructive meeting. We discussed many important issues, and I will not share all the details. The U.S. President is familiar with them, and I believe he knows more details than before,” Zelensky said.
According to him, Trump gradually realized that Putin had provided information far from the reality on the battlefield. “Gradually he understood that Putin was just sharing certain data that did not reflect the truth. Now he trusts me much more because the information held by our intelligence, which we share with our partners, is completely different,” Zelensky added.
The president also noted that Trump shares his view that Russia is attempting to spread the war. “I told him that Putin will not wait for the war in Ukraine to end but will try to find weak spots in Europe, in NATO countries. He may use cyberattacks and other methods. Yesterday, drones were spotted in Denmark and Norway — likely from Belarus or Russia. We have a complete picture regarding these drones. Next are Romania and Poland. Russia is using different types of long-range drones to assess Europe’s readiness. I do not know which country Putin will choose, but Europe is ready,” Zelensky stated.
