A meeting between Zelensky and Putin is not planned, Lavrov stated, explaining the lack of progress in talks.

A meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin is not currently planned, despite claims from the White House regarding the preparation for talks. This was reported by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in an interview with NBC News, as reported by Baltimore Chronicle, citing Sergey Lavrov’s interview with NBC News.

Lavrov noted that Putin is willing to meet with Zelensky when an agenda for the summit is ready. However, he stated that the agenda is not yet prepared. “How can we meet with a person who rejects everything and at the same time pretends to be a leader?” Lavrov said.

Additionally, the Russian Foreign Minister emphasized that the conditions discussed during previous consultations do not meet Moscow’s requirements. He also mentioned that among the demands from the United States were points about Ukraine’s refusal to join NATO, readiness to discuss territorial issues, and a review of language laws. At the same time, Zelensky rejected all these proposals.

Earlier we wrote that Lavrov says that Russia and the United States are discussing the renewal of the “Swirl Flow” with the participation of the Americans.
