Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that the only way to end hostilities in Ukraine is to secure clear security guarantees, particularly from the United States, reports Baltimore Chronicle citing Sky News. He stressed that without decisive action from U.S. President Donald Trump, the war cannot be stopped.
According to Zelensky, these security guarantees must be concrete and transparent in order to ensure regional stability and safeguard Ukraine’s sovereignty. The president added that only after such assurances are in place can meaningful negotiations on ending the conflict begin.
Zelensky also expressed hope that UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer will take the opportunity during Trump’s visit to discuss in detail the issue of Ukraine’s future security. He highlighted the importance of international support and coordination among allies to achieve lasting peace.
