Contrary to the promising forecasts of the National Bank of Ukraine about a slowdown in inflation rates in the country, price tags for a certain number of food products are regularly changed in large chain stores, and, as it turned out, this month was no exception.

Without any significant changes, if we compare with December, prices for sliced wheat bread, weighing 0.65 kilograms, remained at 31.95 hryvnia, however, a 0.6 kilogram loaf of “Tsar Bread” (the same variety) remained unchanged. added almost 1 hryvnia to the cost – 33.81 hryvnia (in December – 32.93 hryvnia).
Predictably, the price of ordinary chicken eggs is also increasing: in the last month of 2023, the Kvochka trademark cost 60.01 hryvnia/dozen, but since January, their cost has grown to 65.4 ;hryvnia/ten, like the product from Yasensvita —from 62.4 hryvnia/ten to 66.77 hryvnia/ten.
However, the price of milk has dropped somewhat : 1 percent in December cost 41.87 hryvnia/0.9 liters, and since January—41.79 hryvnia/0.9 liters. At the same time, milk, with a fat content of 2.6 percent, fell in price from 40.61 hryvnia to 40.39 hryvnia per 0.9 liter.
