According to the minister, the necessary volumes of equipment and ammunition, maintenance and spare parts “are a critical component of success.”
However, to achieve a breakthrough, we need innovation and significant technological progress. With this in mind, defense technology will play a central role in the Department of Defense's agenda in 2024, — the official noted.
Moreover, Umerov thanked all partner countries that support the Ukrainian Defense Forces, including in the development of coalitions of capabilities. He also noted the critical need to increase long-term military assistance packages.
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry is ready to co-invest in technology and joint production, share “combat experience, facilitate the conclusion of long-term contracts with interested companies.”
