The Hungarian Prime Minister, in an interview with the French publication Le Point, noted that in the 2016 US elections everyone expected Hillary Clinton to win. According to Orban, he then said that Europe needed Trump, NBN reports.

The politician said that if Trump had been the head of America in February 2022, then the Russian-Ukrainian war would not have started. Orban stressed that he does not currently see anyone in Europe or the United States other than the controversial American politician who would be a strong enough leader to stop the fighting, adding that “the world has a name – Donald Trump.”
