About the fact that since the beginning of this year, Putin’s army has been more intensively using light civilian vehicles, such as all-terrain vehicles and off-road motorcycles, with the aim of transferring “manpower” closer to the front line and carrying out assaults on Ukrainian positions, in ;features at at night, writes NBN, referring to the official X-account of the UK Ministry of Defense.
British military intelligence analysts noted that this trend intensified after Russian dictator Vladimir Putin personally inspected recently acquired Chinese Desertcross 1000-3 all-terrain vehicles from Odes Industries in November of last year. In particular, the aggressor country has already managed to purchase at least 2 100 such vehicles.
In accordance with the British information, it seems that the occupiers actually regularly resort to the use of lighter and faster vehicles for conducting operational reconnaissance of the defensive bridgeheads of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the aim of opening up additional opportunities for effectively defeating the Defense Forces with artillery, FPV drones or kamikaze drones.
However, due to this refusal of armor and fire power for the sake of increased mobility, light weapons become much more vulnerable than their armored counterparts to a whole range of weapons systems. For example, Ukrainian FPV drones have repeatedly demonstrated their effective potential in defeating motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles and buggies of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, we wrote about the fact that British intelligence explained the frequent “convergence” of aerial bombs on territory of the Russian Federation.
