The Russian Telegram channel “Kremlevskaya Snuffbox” writes that the head of the Russian Defense Ministry wants to propose to Putin to fire Gerasimov and appoint the commander of the Dnepr group, General Mikhail Teplinsky.
According to Belousov, the “second army in the world” lacks dynamics and reliability, so he wants to replace the head of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, NBN reports.
The Telegram channel notes that Teplinsky has repeatedly clashed with other Russian military leaders, in particular, he had a difficult relationship with the former head of the defense department, Sergei Shoigu. However, the general was able to maintain direct contact with the head of the Kremlin.
