As reported by “NBN” with reference to the official X-account of the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Dmytro Kuleba, the ratification of the “Rome Statute” of the ICC by the Rada has brought Ukraine one step closer to integration into the European bloc.
According to Kuleba, as a result of the above-described ratification, Ukraine became the 125th member of the ICC, which demonstrated Kyiv's unwavering commitment to strengthening international justice.
In particular, despite the fact that Ukraine is already effectively cooperating with the ICC, seeking to maximally facilitate the punishment of the Kremlin, which is directly responsible for the atrocities of the occupiers committed during the Russian invasion, now such a process will become even “more effective”.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized:
With the ratification of the “Rome Statute”, Ukraine also took another important step to joining the EU.
