Western intelligence agencies have repeatedly pointed to China's efforts to covertly support Putin's military actions in Ukraine.

As NBN reports with reference to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), a number of reports that have appeared in foreign media about China providing certain assistance to Russia make it possible to ignore Beijing’s attempts to present itself as a “neutral mediator in the war.”
In particular, Western officials have revealed that one of the Chinese companies regularly sends batches of military UAVs to Russia for testing and potential use on the front lines in Ukraine. An unspecified company from China signed an agreement with Russia last year, and “clear evidence” has already been collected about the supply of “lethal weapons for use in Ukraine” to the aggressor country.
In addition, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that the Russian “defense industry” (military-industrial complex) receives approximately 70 percent of industrial equipment (machine tools) and 90 percent of microelectronic components from China and Hong Kong. Thus, China’s actions are “out of touch with reality,” despite Beijing’s constant professed desire to achieve peace in Ukraine while allowing its companies to help a terrorist state in the war.
ISW summarized:
Beijing has repeatedly tried to portray itself as a neutral mediator in the war in Ukraine, but constant reports of China’s assistance to Russia’s military efforts undermine this claim.
Earlier, we wrote about the Kremlin’s use of the China-Brazil “Friends of peace” to simulate peace efforts.
