As reported by NBN with reference to Ukrinform's material, French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot believes that the decision regarding sending North Korean army units to the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine will globally expand the scale of hostilities.
According to Barrot, he listened to the opinion of his Ukrainian partners and made a reasonable conclusion that the Kremlin's decision regarding the involvement of North Korean soldiers will have the most serious consequences, since such actions will take the war to a new level of escalation. In particular, there is a huge risk that the current war will engulf Asia.
At the same time, a high-ranking European official believes that information indicating the involvement of North Korean troops testifies to one important fact – Russia is experiencing increasing difficulties in its confrontation with Ukraine.
