The head of the Hungarian government congratulated the pro-Russian political force “Georgian Dream” on its victory in the parliamentary elections. According to Orban, the citizens of the country “made a decision in favor of peace,” NBN writes with reference to SOVA.News.
The Prime Minister said that the ruling party did not allow Georgia to be turned into a “second Ukraine” and drawn into a senseless war. The representative of Budapest added that the political force is also “loyal to European integration.” Orban expressed confidence that the country will be ready to become a member of the European Union by the end of the decade.
Recall that the head of the Hungarian government arrived in Georgia to celebrate the results of the parliamentary elections.
At the same time, Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili said that she does not recognize the official results of the vote. The head of the European Council Charles Michel called on Tbilisi to immediately conduct an investigation into the violations at the polling stations.
As previously reported by the media, Orban did not allow the EU to change the sanctions regime against Russia, blocking 50 billion dollars for Ukraine.
