The average size of the “regular” pension benefit in our country at the beginning of the current year was 4,623 hryvnia, which is much lower than the “special” one.

As reported by NBN with reference to the material of Ekonomicheskaya Pravda, over the course of 9 months of this year, the state spent almost 88 billion hryvnia on the calculation of special pensions, and by January 2025 this amount will increase to 120 billion hryvnia.
In Ukraine, there are at least 6,867 retired prosecutors and an almost identical number of judges, most of whom receive pension benefits without ceasing to work in their positions.
As it became known, by the beginning of 2024, the average amount of social assistance to prosecutors was 4.5 times higher than the average pension in Ukraine (21,500 hryvnia), and the financial “maintenance” of judges was 21 times higher (96,000 hryvnia).
In total, in our country, according to the Ministry of Social Policy, there are 10.28 million pensioners (in addition to judges and prosecutors – civil servants, law enforcement officers, military personnel and “Chernobyl” victims), of which special pension benefits, according to various legislative norms, are received 780 200 citizens.
