As reported by “NBN”, citing Bloomberg sources, Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential race is prompting South Korea to reconsider the preconditions for potentially sending weapons to Ukraine.
According to an unspecified official representative of Seoul, the government of President Yoon Seok-yeol intends to carefully analyze Trump's position in order to decide whether it is necessary to change its traditional policy of refusing to provide “lethal” (military, not humanitarian) aid to Kyiv.
According to another South Korean official, Seoul is also assessing the impact of Trump's approach to the war on support for Ukraine with a number of partner states.
At the same time, the office of the President of South Korea also notified – they will study possible scenarios of military cooperation with Ukraine and other allies/partners only after the full deployment of North Korean troops, that is, they committed to take appropriate countermeasures.
