At the end of last season, Claudio Ranieri announced his retirement from coaching, but, as is already clear, he could not refuse Roma's offer to return to football.

As NBN reports with a link to the official Roma page, Italian coach Claudio Ranieri will have to take charge of the Roman club for a while as a coach, in whose squad, by the way, the Ukrainian national team striker Artem Dovbyk plays.
As it became known, Ranieri will coach Roma players only until the end of the 24/25 season (or while they are looking for the next coach, at least for several months), after which the functionary will be given the position of senior manager/adviser for the settlement of sports issues.
It should be noted that the “new temporary” coach played as part of Roma in the 1973-74 season, and later twice was the key “guru” of this team (2009-2011/2019).
Roma notes: Ranieri has a huge wealth of knowledge and experience acquired in Serie A, the Premier League, La Liga and Ligue 1, in which the coach led, mainly, top European clubs, winning a series of historic titles – for example, the legendary triumph with Leicester in 2016.
Earlier We wrote about the media listing the main candidates for the post of new head coach of Roma, and, as a result, they were wrong.
