During a press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the Ukrainian leader spoke about telephone conversations between leaders of foreign states and the Kremlin dictator. The President said that he knew about the intention of the head of the German government to call Putin.
According to Zelensky, he told the representative of Berlin his opinion on this matter, the NBN publication reports with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
The guarantor noted that after the first telephone conversations with the Russian leader, there are second, third, fifth ones, because foreign politicians sometimes want to take over the leadership for themselves. In addition, such conversations with the head of the Kremlin can actually become a wave of recognition of the dictator, which does not strengthen Ukraine.
At the same time, as the President added, Kiev and Berlin have much more in common than differences.
Recall that Scholz called Putin on November 15. Polish leader Andrzej Duda criticized the German Chancellor for talking to the dictator. The President also pointed out the decisive moment in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
