The head of the OPU in an interview with the British publication The Telegraph said that Kyiv is ready to hold elections without delay after peace reigns in Ukraine, NBN reports.
Head of the Zelensky's office assured that the Ukrainian leader is ready for elections at any time, but only after achieving a fair peace in the country, since there are important moments for holding the vote.
The official explained that, in addition, democratic states must recognize the electoral process in Ukraine as corresponding to all international standards of democracy.
According to him, this means that all citizens of our country should be given the opportunity to vote, in particular military personnel who are on the front lines and people who have temporarily left the country.
Recall that the adviser to the head of the OPU Mykhailo Podolyak spoke about the problem of the Budapest Memorandum. The official called the document “one of the biggest deceptions in modern history.”
