Fesenko, in an interview with the publication “Glavred”, commented on the visit of the Ukrainian delegation headed by the head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak to the United States. According to him, there are two goals of the trip of Kyiv representatives to the States, NBN reports.
The expert noted that the Ukrainian delegation contacted the administration of Joe Biden, and also established contacts with the team of the newly elected American President Donald Trump.
The head of the Penta Center for Applied Political Research drew attention to the fact that during each trip to the United States, the head of the OPU meets with White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan. The American official has been a key contact person for Kyiv since the start of the full-scale war.
During this visit to America, representatives of the Ukrainian leadership needed to establish contacts with people from Trump's team who will be responsible for negotiations to end the war.
Fesenko added that the White House is currently in a transitional period, so the delegation also needed to clarify the issue of providing Ukraine with military aid in the amount of 750 billion dollars, since it is unknown whether Washington will have time to complete this process before the Republican's inauguration.
