A representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in a comment to Radio Liberty, said that specialists who know the peculiarities of North Korea are currently working with captured DPRK soldiers. Intelligence wants to get the necessary information from these fighters and study the question of whether Pyongyang intends to send its military contingent to the Russian Federation in the future to participate in the war.

According to him, the capture of North Korean soldiers is the right precedent for Ukraine, which it is using in its interests, the NBN publication reports.

Yerin noted that the very fact of the presence of DPRK fighters in the Kursk region is not critical, but it does affect the course of military operations. As a rule, the Russian military command uses the manpower transferred by Pyongyang in assaults or other operations as “cannon fodder.” North Korean soldiers are used as part of airborne or marine units.

Recall that a Ukrainian serviceman told a British media outlet how DPRK army fighters are fighting on the front in the Kursk region.
