Last December, a government decree was approved in Ukraine introducing a number of changes to the procedure for granting/assigning benefits for the payment of housing and communal services.

As reported by “NBN” with a link to the official website of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU), the next legislative innovations affect cases in which a citizen included in the state register of persons entitled to benefits was captured by the Russian Federation or is listed as missing under special circumstances.
In accordance with the adopted amendments and the above circumstances, benefits can be reassigned to family members of beneficiaries who actually reside at the address to which such state privileges were previously issued.
To reissue benefits, applicants should submit to the PFU:
- an application in any format;
- an extract from the Unified State Register of War Veterans.
In this case, such documentation can be provided:
- PFU service centers;
- local government bodies or CPAU,
- the PFU e-services web portal;
- Ukrposhta, to the address of the PFU body.
