The Polish leader said in an interview with the BBC that all gas pipelines should be dismantled “Nord Stream” and never restore them, even if Kyiv and Moscow sign a peace agreement, the NBN newspaper reports.
The President is convinced that this is the only way to eliminate the temptation to restore “blue fuel” supplies from the Russian Federation to support the economy of countries such as Germany.
Duda hopes that European leaders will learn a lesson from the Russian invasion and decide never to resume the use of Nord Stream, since these gas pipelines pose a major military, economic and energy threat to his country, Ukraine, Slovakia and other Central European countries.
The politician emphasized that the transit of “blue fuel” from the Russian Federation through these gas pipelines means the dominance of an aggressive country over European states.
Recall that Ukraine stopped transporting Russian gas to Europe. The administration of former US President Joe Biden called Moscow's losses due to Kyiv's decision.
