As NBN reports with a link to WccfTech's material, According to this rumor, Valve developers are working closely with AMD, and the potential new product will be based on RDNA-4 graphics technology.

As it became known, the console architecture will be based on the mid-range video card, Radeon RX 9070, announced at CES-2025. Also, Valve programmers are putting a lot of effort into writing stable drivers for RDNA-4-based graphics, which is currently only available in desktop video cards.

Wccftech added that Valve's console will not directly compete with the Microsoft Xbox and Sony PS5, and the RDNA4 video card will connect to Steam Deck 2 via a docking station: the console will be able to run your favorite PC games, which can be interacted with not by keyboard/mouse, but by joystick.

However, the development of the new ecosystem is not at the final stage, and consumers should wait for the console to play selected titles from Steam.
