As reported by NBN with reference to an exclusive material from Ukrainsky Football, the former key mentor/coach of the Ukrainian national team and Dynamo Kyiv, Jozsef Sabo, explained what could have spoiled his relationship with Andriy Shevchenko (now the president of the Ukrainian Football Association).
According to Sabo, he has not personally communicated with Shevchenko for quite a long time, since the UAF president is “in the clouds” and is “out of reach.”
According to the ex-coach, Shevchenko, apparently, was offended after a controversial interview – then Sabo spoke harshly about the relationship of his then young protégé with an older woman, because of which the future president of the UAF “could have lost his career.”
Sabo summed it up:
