The wholesale price of goods set by manufacturing companies is reflected in the retail price of the products that hit store shelves (with a delay of only a few months).

As NBN reports with reference to data from the State Statistics Service (Gosstat), wholesale prices of domestic companies manufacturing industrial goods have grown by 37 percent over the year (by 40 percent for the domestic market, by 15.9 percent for the foreign market).
According to the data of the said state statistical structure, in the production of food products, beverages and tobacco products, prices increased by 20.2 percent (for Ukraine – by 18 percent, for export outside the country – by 29.1 percent), and we are talking about:
- dairy products – by 21.2 percent (for the domestic market – by 21.4 percent);
- bread, bakery and flour products – by 15.8 percent (for the domestic market – by 16.4 percent);
- meat and semi-finished products/products made from it – by 10.2 percent (for the domestic market – by 12 percent);
- non-alcoholic beverages – by 8.5 percent (for the domestic market – by 8.6 percent);
- granulated/refined sugar – minus 1.5 percent (for the domestic market – plus 0.4 percent).
