The analytical material from ISW notes that the pace of advancement of the Russian occupation army in Ukraine has been decreasing monthly since November of last year, the NBN publication reports.

The Institute for the Study of War drew attention to the data of the British intelligence, which reported that in March the Russian Armed Forces advanced 143 square kilometers in Ukraine. In February, the territorial gains of the invaders amounted to 195 square kilometers.

American experts claim that successful counterattacks by the Ukrainian Defense Forces are helping to slow down the advance of the aggressor country's troops.

In particular, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have achieved success in the Pokrovsky and Toretsky directions, where they carried out localized attacks and were able to restore lost positions in these sections of the front.

At the same time, Putin's army is launching large-scale attacks in several areas of the front – the Kremlin will try to influence the ceasefire and negotiations with the spring and summer offensive. At the same time, analysts do not predict significant successes for the invaders.

As reported, the Lugansk OTGV reported when the Russian Armed Forces will intensify their assaults in the Chasovy Yar area.
