The battles for Toretsk have been going on for 9 months now, and in recent weeks the situation there has begun to escalate – the invaders have pushed Ukrainian forces from the central part of the city to the outskirts and increased pressure on nearby settlements.
Seleznev stated that the occupation of Toretsk, which the enemy has been trying to take control of since last summer, would seriously worsen the situation in the area of the city of Chasov Yar. If this happens, Putin's army will form a convenient springboard for attacks in the direction of Konstantinovka, NBN writes, citing RBC-Ukraine.
According to him, this city is a component of the urban agglomeration “Slavyansk-Kramatorsk-Druzhkovka-Konstantinovka”. The military expert believes that during the spring-summer offensive, the Russian Armed Forces will concentrate their efforts in these areas.
