The US Secretary of State, in a conversation with the President of the World Economic Forum, Borge Brende in Riyadh, explained what the negotiations with a terrorist state on ending the war in Ukraine depend on, NBN reports “with reference to Radio Liberty.
According to the representative of Washington, the Kremlin dictator must show his readiness to conduct dialogue in accordance with the UN Charter and international law. The American leadership hopes that the aggressor president will understand the message and demonstrate a sincere desire to sit down at the negotiating table.
The official noted that if the Kremlin takes such an honest step, the United States will take part in the dialogue. Blinken hopes that Ukraine will also join this process.
Note that official Kyiv demands that Moscow restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine and completely withdraw Putin’s occupation forces from its territories. At the same time, at the beginning of the month, representative of the Russian Presidential Administration Dmitry Peskov once again stated that the Kremlin is ready for dialogue only on its own terms.
