Traditionally, on the eve of Easter (May 5) in Ukraine, some increase in the cost of chicken eggs is quite likely, however, such a trend, apparently, will not significantly affect the overall price situation due to the sufficient volume of supply for this products.

About why a noticeable increase in the price of eggs is not predicted on the eve of the holidays, writes NBN, citing the assumptions of the head of the Association of the Union of Poultry Farmers of Ukraine Sergei Karpenko and the head of the marketing department of the Shuvar wholesale market Tatyana Popovich, published in “UNIAN”.
According to Karpenko, the demand for eggs is expected to increase before the holidays, but this year this does not seem to have a significant impact on the cost of production, and Ukrainians will be able to count on “affordable price offers in sufficient quantities.” .
According to Popovich, due to the sufficient volume of supply of this “product”, the cost of eggs will even be lower than last year, despite a slight increase in prices by 15 percent before Easter, which is quite typical for the pre-holiday period.
An identical price forecast was made by representatives of the ATB supermarket chain, justifying their “prediction”:
Thanks to poultry farms resuming their work , there is no shortage of chicken eggs in the country, and their quantity fully covers the needs of the population.
