The American publication stated that Moscow is considering the possibility of sending air defense systems and modern fighters to Iran so that it can defend itself against attacks from Israel and the United States.

The Washington Post reported that Tehran opened a new dangerous chapter in relations with Moscow, having agreed to transfer thousands of missiles and UAVs to the Russian Federation in 2022 to help it in the war against Ukraine, NBN reports.

Journalists write that the Kremlin promised Iran to provide air defense technologies and modern combat aircraft, in particular Su-35 fighter-bombers, to help it defend against attacks from Israel and the United States.

It is not yet known how many systems have been transferred to Tehran and deployed, but it continues to ask Moscow for the latest S-400 anti-aircraft missile batteries to protect its military and nuclear facilities.

The publication notes that thanks to the technology of a terrorist state, Iran can become a more formidable adversary, because the capabilities of its air force to destroy missiles and aircraft.

Recall that last weekend Iran launched a massive attack on Israel. Russia's permanent representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya tried to justify the attack by Moscow's ally by blaming Western countries.
