The ISW analytical material notes that on the eve of the “inauguration” of the Russian leader, the Kremlin elites began to compete for influential positions in the government. Sources in the Russian Federation Administration told the media that some officials are tense, counting on promotion and worrying about a possible demotion.

They would like to occupy the highest position in case the next 6 years become the last term of the dictator, NBN reports.

Some sources in the Kremlin say that Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin or First Deputy Head of the Administration of the Russian Federation Sergei Kiriyenko could become the new prime minister. Others report that the current head of government, Mikhail Mishustin, will be re-appointed to this position.

American experts are convinced that personnel changes in the Kremlin will not have an impact on the domestic and foreign policy of the aggressor country, because the dictator still hopes for victory in the war against Ukraine, will continue to eliminate all those who disagree with his decisions and will focus on strengthening relations between the Russian Federation and the PRC, the DPRK and Iran.

ISW added that in order to achieve his goals, the leader of the Russians is trying to create ideological homogeneity among the Kremlin elite.

Earlier, American analysts told how Putin is trying to reduce the power of the head of the Russian Defense Ministry Sergei Shoigu and why he wants to punish the minister.
