The day before, information was received from the DeepState project that the Defense Forces fighters allegedly completely left the village of Lastochkino in the vicinity of Avdievka, but on the morning of this Sunday, February 25, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a report that the fierce battles, that is, there is no talk of a complete withdrawal.

About why units of the Ukrainian army were temporarily redeployed to the western outskirts of the above-mentioned settlement, writes NBN, referring to the explanation voiced by the speaker of the operational-strategic group troops (OSGV) “Tavria” by Dmitry Lykhovy for the publication “RBC-Ukraine”.
According to Lykhoviya, the retreat to the western zone of the village of Lastochkino, to previously prepared defensive positions, took place in the morning of this weekend, however, since the situation on this section of the front is very dynamic, it can still change for the better.
The speaker of the OSGV “Tavria” emphasized that the movement of Defense Forces fighters was provoked by the fierce assault actions of Putin's army in the Avdeevsky direction, in particular, increased support from artillery and aviation, including the throwing of additional units into the battle.
