Despite economic difficulties, the amount of pension payments in Ukraine does not stop increasing, mainly due to indexation.

About how much pension benefits have changed in the first months of this year, writes NBN, citing the official page of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU).
As it became known, after raising the minimum salaries at the beginning of 2024 and the traditional March indexation at 7.96 percent, the average pension increased by 9.6 percent, reaching a level of 5,743.27 hryvnia.
In particular, the average size of pension benefits now leaves:
- minimum – 2 361 hryvnia;
- maximum – 23 610 hryvnia.
It should be noted that the initial increase in pension payments did not exceed 100 hryvnia, and the maximum increase reached 1 500 hryvnia, without affecting:
- persons those who went on “well-deserved retirement” in the last 3 years;
- persons with the highest accruals (prosecutor’s office employees/judges);
- persons with the lowest benefits, that is without the required insurance period.
