About the fact that access to a number of dangerous Telegram channels in Ukraine has already been closed, and identical groups will soon be blocked as well will happen thanks to negotiations between Pavel Durov’s company and the intelligence services of our country and “some shifts” in this process, writes NBN, citing an explanation by the head of the cybersecurity department of the SBU Ilya Vityuk, published by Ukrinform.

Based on Vityuk’s words, SBU employees, with the assistance of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Center for Countering Disinformation, regularly study the media space, identifying unsafe sources of “stuffing”, both in Telegram channels and in other Internet resources.

In particular, the SBU constantly contacts all Internet platforms regarding blocking or deleting misleading content, but since the representative offices of Telegram, Facebook/Meta and Google are not geographically located in Ukraine, then requests to legal entities have no legal force.

In addition, active work is currently ongoing to resolve this problematic issue, and soon all giant companies “will be obliged to comply with the decision of the Ukrainian court,” judging by  everything, en masse.

Earlier, we wrote about the fact that the Rada spoke out about Telegram’s connection with special services of the Russian Federation and named the condition for blocking the messenger.
