The head of the Council of Reservists of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Ivan Timochko, commented on the situation around Chasovoy Yar in the Donetsk region. The serviceman told how the defenders are trying to prevent a breakthrough by the Russian Armed Forces.

Timochko said on the Espresso TV channel that Putin’s troops in the Chasovoy Yar area are trying to attack not only frontally, but also attack on the flanks. He also commented on the undermining of the Armed Forces of Ukraine bridge across the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal, NBN reports.
According to the head of the Council of Ground Forces Reservists, the defenders blew up this transport crossing to prevent an enemy breakthrough on this section of the front. The destruction of the bridge will not give the Russians the opportunity to advance and will disrupt their logistics.
The military noted that the Defense Forces have to strengthen the front line and prevent the advance of the “second army of the world.” The protection of Chasovoy Yar is fundamental, otherwise this city will become a springboard for the Russian offensive on Kramatorsk and Slavyansk.
