The Ukrainian leader in his Telegram channel said that Putin’s occupation forces today, on the Day memory and victory over Nazism, carried out a large-scale attack on our country, NBN reports.
According to the guarantor, the Russian invaders fired more than 50 missiles and 20 Shahed kamikaze drones at the infrastructure in Zaporozhye, Kiev region, Vinnytsia region , Lviv region, Poltava region, Kirovograd region and Ivano-Frankivsk region.
The President noted that all necessary services are working at the sites of attacks, eliminating the consequences of terror by the troops of the aggressor country.
The Head of State emphasized that the whole world must realize who is and who has no right to give another chance to Nazism.
The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that on the night of May 8, air defense destroyed 59 of 76 air attack weapons (55 missiles and 21 UAVs) that were used by the Russian Armed Forces. In particular, the defenders “negated” 33 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles, 2 Kh-59/Kh-69 aircraft, 4 “Caliber” and 20 “Shahedov”.
Recall that on May 6, the Russians attacked the energy sector of the Sumy region with kamikaze drones. Speaker of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ilya Yevlash commented on the attack.
