Starting this month, the Cabinet of Ministers introduced a new type of social assistance within the framework of the “Children is Not Alone” initiative – we are talking about little Ukrainians left without parents, but who have not received the status of orphans or children deprived of parental care.

About what benefits will be paid to citizens who temporarily placed orphaned children with their relatives , acquaintances, foster families/family-type orphanages, writes “NBN”, referring to the explanation made by the head of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine Oksana Zholnovich during the telethon on the TSN YouTube channel.
According to Zholnovich, the government has provided this type of six-month financial assistance so that the above-described categories of concerned citizens/structures can provide children with the necessary conditions and care: depending on the age of the child, the amount of social payments will vary from 6 407 hryvnia to 407 hryvnia. 8 000 hryvnia (if the child has a disability from 8 970 hryvnia to 11 190 hryvnia).
The head of the Ministry of Social Policy explained the 6-month period for calculating such assistance for children:
Until the court or guardianship authorities grant him status and determine his future fate—and this can be a long period of time, up to six months, sometimes a year.
