Jennifer Garner revealed on social media that her father, William John Garner, died over the weekend at the age of 85, writes WomanEL.
The 51-year-old actress shared family photos on Instagram of her and her beloved dad surrounded by his loved ones, including her mother Patricia and two sisters.

She wrote:
My dad spent a quiet Saturday afternoon. We were with him, singing Amazing Grace as he left us. While there is no tragedy in the death of an 85-year-old man who lived a healthy, wonderful life, I know that grief is inevitable, waiting around corners unexpectedly!
Jennifer added that she is grateful for her dad's gentle behavior and quiet strength, for leadership, faith, and for the fact that he was always patient.
