An earthquake was felt in Ukraine: how will it affect residents

Today in Romania, in the historically active region of the Vrancea Mountains, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 on the Richter scale occurred, writes WomanEL. Tremors were also felt in Ukraine, reports the Main Center for Special Control.

According to the center, the epicenter of the earthquake was 130 km from the border with Ukraine at a depth of 80 km. The tremors were recorded at 11:01 local time. Fortunately, the event did not lead to serious consequences or threats to the population of Ukraine.

It should be noted that this earthquake is not the largest in recent times in this region. The last significant earthquake in the Vrancea Mountains region was recorded on December 24, 2023 and had a magnitude of 4.0 on the Richter scale. The authorities urge citizens to be careful and attentive, but note that there is no threat to the safety of the population in Ukraine.
