Miss Universe Ukraine 2023 Angelina Usanova achieved significant success at the international beauty contest Miss Eco International-2024 in Egypt, entering the top 5 participants. The chances of winning for the Ukrainian model increased significantly after she won first place in the “Miss Eco Best Resort Wear” nomination for her beach look, writes WomanEL.
Usanova presents exclusive outfits at the competition, created by Ukrainian designer Lesya Patoka from recycled materials. Her national costume, called “Phoenix,” symbolizes the resilience of Ukraine and its people in the face of war. To create the costume, we used more than 1,500 plastic spoons and 500 plastic knives found at the Ukraine sorting station, as well as other recycled materials.

Another eco-suit that Usanov will present at the competition is called “World on Fire” and draws attention to the problem of forest fires in the world. This costume is decorated with red and black plastic bottles and details cut from construction tubes, creating a flame effect.
